Alnoor Magrabi Foundation has been founded as non-profitable organization by Dr.Akef El-Maghraby, it is registered according to the legalization of the NGOs’ Law in Egypt.

Since 1992 Alnoor Magrabi Foundation has fought the visual disability through an integrated package of sight-saving proceedings & medical services delivery comprising prevention, early detection of diseases, treatment, operating surgeries, blinds’ rehabilitation and training of relevant cadres to eye health-care providers, continuous educational & training programs, public awareness and community’ screening research projects..

Alnoor Magrabi Foundation has firm prioritization in standard quality of services provided to the most possible volume of eye-patients & visual disables regardless their social, economic, gender, race or religious affiliation. It acts also to empower the legally blinds with the appropriate means of training, rehabilitation and the computer-aid software that promote their self-independency and productivity.

MOH recognizes Alnoor’ Resource & Training Center:

Ophthalmologist-candidates from MOH eye hospitals in addition to others from private sector are being enrolled into the ECCE/IOL surgical training at the Resource Center of Alnoor Magrabi Foundation under the supervision & guiding of senior faculty-surgeons. The course extends from six weeks to three months until the candidate gains confidence to perform independently, accurately, safely and satisfactorily the surgery.

VRmagic Courseware enables eye-surgeons to simulate sophisticated eye surgeries with no-risk upon human patient. Four Eye-surgeons candidate from Libya & Egypt are being accommodated onto simulator-based eye-surgery training batch.
